I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
